Amplify voices behind the masks.
As we plan for the start of the school year, we need your creative ideas to re-imagine how we learn, live, and work together in the COVID-19 era. The Carolina Collective Initiative aims to provide a structured way to have community voices inform the fall semester at UNC. The community here refers to students, staff, faculty, and all others who care about UNC. We strongly believe that your collective voices and ideas can make a difference.
We have $20,000 in prizes to award for submissions, including awards for exceptional ideas and participation prizes for a random 5% of all submissions. Exceptional ideas will be evaluated by a distinguished Carolina Collective Steering Committee and implemented at UNC. We are particularly interested in campus campaigns, inclusive digital dialogue, collective action, and re-thinking safety. Learn more about our open call here.
How might we make the (virtual and physical) campus safe while continuing the things you are passionate about?
How might we create a more effective bidirectional digital dialogue within and between our university groups?
How might we draw on our collective strengths to translate voices into action? The end-goal should be a more safe and equitable Carolina community.
What are ways of creating and maintaining safety that are respectful and anti-racist?
